Over the last few years a growing number of people have regretted transitioning and have found it difficult to access resources. More shocking is that a majority of the trans community simply turn their back on the people they once embraced. In recent studies with detransitioners they have identified underlying reasons for detransitioning:
Gender dysphoria related to other issues
Health concerns
Transitioning didn't help with dysphoria
Found alternatives to deal with dysphoria
Unhappy with how others interacted
Up to 20% have regrets about their sex change. Around 10 to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate is 20 times that of peers. Talk with friendly trans people that understand you.
